MAINTAINING YOUR HARDWOOD FLOOR REQUIRES KNOW-HOW.
In this section, we are telling you everything you need to know about hardwood maintenance and keeping it beautiful, and timeless. Also, understand how to care for it right from its installation, and arrange professional maintenance whenever required.
ENTRANCES
To avoid dust accumulation, place walk-off mats at each entrance.
Avoid using non-ventilated mats or mats with rubber backing.
CLEANING TIPS
In the case of ‘Finish in Place’ floors, we advise you to use an 8”x14” terry cloth mop with a rotating head.
Spray a good-quality floor cleaning product to safely and gently remove tough stains.
Avoid using ammonia-containing products or oil soaps as they can reduce the shine of your floor and make it dull.
Make sure you clean up spills immediately, if feasible.
RECOMMENDED TOOLS
We recommend a good-quality broom and a vacuum cleaner, without a beater bar.
Once the dirt has been removed, buffing can help regain its shine.
Scuffs or heel marks can be removed using a hardwood floor cleaner.
Limit exposure to sunlight.
Cover the legs of your furniture with protectors to prevent scratches on your floor.
Trim the nails of your pets regularly to avoid scratches.
